Sunday, October 16, Temple Emanuel Jewish Arts Festival, Greensboro, North Carolina

Sunday, October 16, HardLox Jewish Festival, Asheville, North Carolina

December 14-18, Reform Biennial, Washington DC, Gaylord Hotel

It’s been a very busy summer.  First a week at the delightful Aleph Kallah at the Redlands in California where I introduced my “Shema” amulet publicly for the first time.  And the reaction was amazing!  The amulets are now being worn across America, Canada, Europe and South America.  What a blessing for me and Leon to have been part of this wonderful week with our Jewish Renewal chevre.  I was also honored by my peers as an “Eishet Chazan” – a “Woman of Wisdom” in a beautiful ceremony during the week.

Following the Kallah we traveled to Greensboro North Carolina to attend NewCAJE.  Although I didn’t attend any classes because I was busy selling my work, Leon and I were able to attend the fabulous musical offerings in the evening at Temple Emanuel.  If you’re ever in Greensboro, it’s worth your while just to visit this shul and sit quietly in the sanctuary – truly holy space has been created.

Also spent a wonderful week with my daughter Aliza and grandchildren in St. Louis Park MN where the leaves were just starting to change – a welcome relief from the ongoing hot, humid summer Florida weather.  The kids were charming and delicious – as any good Bubby would say!

We are leaving tomorrow to visit daughter Jennie and grandchildren in beautiful Bloomington IN.  Then I will be showing my work at Temple Emanuel’s Jewish Arts Festival on October 16 from 10 to 5.  Leon will be showing my work the very same day at the HardLox Jewish Festival in Asheville, North Carolina from 10-5 pm.  Two original pieces are included in an exhibit sponsored by the American Guild of Judaic Artists in Durham, North Carolina at the Rosenzweig Gallery at Judea Reform Congregation, 1933 W. Cornwallis Road.  I’ve been told that the exhibit is spectacular with artists from the Guild’s southeastern region participating.

I will be also showing at the Reform Biennial in Washington DC at the Gaylord Convention Center from December 14-18.  Please stop by, say hi – I love a good schmooze!  Wishing you all a happy, healthy, peaceful and joyous New Year.
